    In January 2020 the SABS standards division published the long-awaited updated version of SANS 10330, (HACCP). In keeping with the various changes to international standards and the ever-changing business environment within the food sector, the new “HACCP” standard is aligned to some of the changes made to international food safety standards, e.g. - includes normative reference documents - introduction of significant food safety hazards. Course Outcomes include: • Understanding & interpreting the requirements of SANS 10330:2020 • Understanding PRPs based on SANS 10049:2019 • How to conduct hazard analysis and risk assessments • Determination of Critical Control Points • Delegates must attend all interactive sessions scheduled and be able to join group sessions for the exercises which will be held on day 3 & 4. Learners are required to have access to stable internet connection and sufficient data to support these interactive sessions per day. Approx 250mb is required per hour. • A written examination will be taken in person, on a specified date at one of the regional SABS venues. • A Successful Completion Digital Certificate is awarded for results of 60% and above and a Certificate of Attendance is issued for all results below 60%.
  • Duration:
    The course will be run over 5 days (4 days of e-learning and the 5th day scheduled for the exam). Each day will be split into 4 x 1 hour interactive mandatory sessions. An individualized water-marked electronic non-printable copy of the SANS 10330 & SANS 10049 standards and course notes are included in the price of the course. This is an examination course and no exams will be written online. Learners are required to have access to stable and reliable internet connection and sufficient data to support the interactive sessions.
  • Requirements For Entrance To Attend This Course:
    Adequate literacy in English with a Matric or an equivalent NQF level is required to grasp the extensive content of this course and participate in the written examination. Attendance at an Awareness to HACCP seminar or basic understanding of food safety is preferable
